Qingque has a unique way of playing that depends on random number generation (RNG). However, choosing the best light cone for her shouldn’t rest on RNG.
One of the most interesting DPS characters in Honkai: Star Rail is Qingque. Her ability to do a lot of damage depends mostly on luck, since she has to line up her tiles in a certain way to use basic moves that do a lot of damage. With the addition of Silver Wolf in version 1.1, players who want to beat hard material will find Qingque even more appealing. Since both Silver Wolf and Qingque are made of Quantum element, Silver Wolf’s ability to apply weaknesses makes Qingque more useful in a wider range of scenarios. This makes it more likely that this weakness will be applied.
Even though Qingque’s play style has some random number generator (RNG) elements, players shouldn’t count on luck alone to get the most out of her in Honkai: Star Rail. If you give Qingque the best relic sets and the right light cones, you can increase her DPS output by a lot. The good news is that players can choose from a variety of options, including some that are free to play.
Geniuses’ Repose
- Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
- Base DEF (LVL 80): 396
- Base HP (LVL 80): 846
- Effect : The wearer’s ATK is increased by 16%/20%/24%/28%/32%. When the user beats an enemy, their CRIT DMG goes up by 24–30–36–42–48 for 3 turns.
Geniuses’ Repose is a 4-star gacha light cone that most Erudition characters can use because it increases ATK and has a chance to improve Critical DMG. But players should know that this affect only happens when the person wearing it, like Qingque, kills an enemy. It won’t happen if another member of the team deals the last hit. This buff lasts for 3 turns, which gives players enough time to use it once it’s activated. Geniuses’ Repose works best in fights with multiple waves or when a boss is surrounded by weaker enemies. This is especially true if the boss can call allies, like Cocolia, which makes it more likely that the secondary effect will happen.
The Seriousness of Breakfast
- Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
- Base DEF (LVL 80): 396
- Base HP (LVL 80): 846
- Effect : The wearer’s DMG is increased by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24%. The wearer’s ATK goes up by 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, or 8% for every enemy they beat. And this can happen up to 4 times.
The Seriousness of Breakfast is similar to Geniuses’ Repose, which makes it another great choice. Especially since you don’t have to use gacha to get it. Players can get it from the Forgotten Hall Light Cone Store if they have enough Lucent Afterglow, or they might get it from weekly boss fights, like Echoes of War, if they have enough Lucent Afterglow. This makes it a great choice for a completely free-to-play game and makes it easy to add. With this light cone, Qingque gets a guaranteed high increase in DMG. Which is better than an equal increase in ATK%. It also gives more ATK, which makes it especially useful in battles with various enemies. The buff from this light cone stacks and lasts, so to get the most out of it. You should kill enemies as soon as possible instead of waiting to kill them once every few turns.
Today Is Another Peaceful Day
- Base ATK (LVL 80): 529
- Base DEF (LVL 80): 330
- Base HP (LVL 80): 846
- Effect : When the wearer goes into fight, their DMG goes up based on their Max Energy. Up to 160 Energy, each point of Energy adds 0.2%/0.25%/0.3%/0.35%/0.4% to DMG.
Since Today Is Another Peaceful Day shows off Qingque’s art. It makes sense that it would be one of the best choices, and the best 4-star light cone for her. This is mostly because her Max Energy is one of the highest at 140, which makes this choice very good. Even without stacking, it improves her DMG by 28%, which is more than The Seriousness of Breakfast can do on its own. Even though it doesn’t have any extra secondary benefits. It has a slightly higher base ATK than other 4-star options, so it can be used in any content. One problem with Today Is Another Peaceful Day is that it can only be used in Nameless Glory. This means that F2P players can’t use it. Even if you want to get it, it will be a while before it can be fully applied.
Night on the Milky Way
- Base ATK (LVL 80): 582
- Base DEF (LVL 80): 396
- Base HP (LVL 80): 1164
- Effect : The wearer’s ATK goes up by 8%, 10%, 12%, 14%, or 16% for every enemy on the field, up to 5 times. When Weakness Break is used on an enemy, the wearer’s DMG goes up by 24%/30%/36%/42%/48% for one turn.
When paired with Silver Wolf, Night on the Milky Way, Himeko’s 5-star signature light cone, can help Qingque a lot. The reason is that Silver Wolf can do this if she has a chance to give her opponents a Quantum weakness or if she uses her method to lower their toughness metre, no matter what kind of weakness they have. So, it’s easier for Qingque to break their toughness. And he can do it consistently against any opponent without having to use figures from other elements. But players who don’t have Silver Wolf can still use this light cone to their advantage. Though they may have to change their team members to match the weaknesses of their opponents. Even if they don’t have weakness break, Funny Shooter 2 players can still get a lot out of the first effect, especially when they’re facing a big group of enemies. Because of this, Night on the Milky Way is a great place to grow things like Calyxes to get more resources.
Before Dawn
- Base ATK (LVL 80): 582
- Base DEF (LVL 80): 396
- Base HP (LVL 80): 1164
- Effect : The wearer’s CRIT DMG will go up by 32%/40%/48%/56%/64%. Adds 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% to the wearer’s Skill and Ultimate DMG. Somnus Corpus is given to the user after they use their Skill or Ultimate. When a follow-up attack is triggered, Somnus Corpus is used up. And the damage of the next attack goes up by 48%/60%/72%/84%/96%.
Even though Before Dawn is Jing Yuan’s signature light cone. It might be the best light cone for all intellectual characters, including Qingque, because of how well it works. Most of Qingque’s damage comes from her improved Basic attack, but she can still benefit from the increase in Crit DMG and Ultimate DMG, even though her Skill doesn’t cause damage and can’t use this buff. Also, Qingque can use the third effect of Before Dawn, which makes her follow-up moves do more damag. But only if the player has access to her fourth eidolon. This is because Qingque doesn’t get an extra ability that lets her launch a second attack after her standard attack until she does.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available for Android, iOS, and PC. A version for the PlayStation is in the works.
